Camila Carraro Mendes is an American actress and singer. She rose to fame after playing a leading role in the hit teen drama series Riverdale, portraying Veronica Lodge. She was nominated for several awards for her performance, and won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Scene Stealer.

Camila is ethnically Brazilian, being born in Charlottesville, Virginia to Brazilian parents. Growing up, she relocated a lot due to her father’s job, even spending a year in Brazil when she was ten years old. She graduated from New York University Tisch School of Arts in 2016.

While studying, Camila became interested in acting and started auditioning for different roles. Her first on screen job came as a commercial for IKEA, before being cast on Riverdale in 2016. Camila went on to be a part of many hit movies, while still being a part of the Riverdale series, achieving a lot of success.

She was also part of many of the soundtracks for the show, such as Marry the Night, Daddy Lessons and Shallow and many others. She’s always enjoyed singing, but acting is her main focus.

Her feature film debut came in 2018, appearing as Morgan, in The New Romantic. The following year she was part of another romantic comedy, The Perfect Date, playing as Shelby Pace. She also had a lead role in a drama thriller, Coyote Lake, in the same year.

Many of Camila’s first movies weren’t very successful with audiences, receiving a lot of criticism. It wasn’t until 2020, when she was part of the critically acclaimed sci-fi comedy, Palm Springs, that she was taken seriously. She then went on to have a lead role in Do Revenge, released in 2022 ,which was pretty successful too.
