Florence Pugh in an English actress. She first gained attention for playing a leading role as a young bride in the drama, Lady Macbeth, winning a British Independent Film Award. She has since gone on to play multiple leading roles in many TV shows and movies.

Florence was born in Oxford, England. As a child she struggled a lot, suffering from tracheomalacia. Her family decided to relocate to Spain, when she was three years old, hoping the warm weather would improve her health. Having spent a few years there, they moved back to Oxford to continue her education.

Florence loved acting at a young age, and participated in a nativity play at the age of six, doing a yorkshire accent. The schools she attended didn’t have many opportunities to support her acting ambitions.

While studying in sixth form, Florence made her professional acting debut in the 2014 drama The Falling, starring as Abbie Mortimer. She then went on to star in many jobs, earning a nomination for BAFTA Rising Star Award, for her role in The Little Drummer Girl.

Florence Pugh’s big breakthrough at an international stage came in 2019, when she played as professional wrestler Paige in Fighting With My Family. This lead to multiple starring roles in many hit shows and movies, including Black Widow and Don’t Worry Darling.

She’s won many nominations and awards for her acting career so far, including Academy awards and BAFTA’s. She’s also been on the cover of many magazines, including Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue.

Diet Plan

Florence Pugh’s diet is usually pretty relaxed, trying to eat what she likes without restricting herself too much. She eats around 2000 calories, depending on her physical demands and personal goals. She typically has three meals a day, with a few snacks throughout.

Her diet contains a high amount of protein, with a moderate amount of carbs and healthy fats. This provides her body with sufficient nutrients to get through the day without feeling too tired. Eating good foods also gives her energy for workouts, keeping herself active and fit.

One of her favourite cuisines are the Greek. In an Interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she mentions that she loves the “family style essence of it”, and how it’s all natural or home grown foods. She eats a lot of vegetables and fruits throughout the day, either as a snack or with her meals.

Florence’s favorite food is cheese, claiming her “fridge is filled with cheese”. She either has cheese with her meals or as a snack, separately during the day. She loves desserts and having ice cream, but does tend to stay away from them without finding it too restrictive.

Florence Pugh has a pretty low body fat percentage, at around 12%. She has well defined abs, with a pretty slim figure. As an actress her body fat does vary depending on the role, but she tries maintaining a healthy weight.

She tends to stay away from supplements and believes the best way to get nutrition is through natural foods. She keeps a calorie count and eat in a calorie deficit when trying to lose weight.

Pre-breakfast

Florence usually starts her mornings with a Yorkshire tea, before having breakfast. She claims having tea wakes her up and it is essential as part of her mornings.

Breakfast

For breakfast, she usually has a couple of boiled eggs or a protein bar with either a black coffee or sometimes a protein smoothie. Her breakfast is usually high in protein, which keeps her blood sugar and energy levels stable throughout the day. It also helps to regulate her appetite, keeping her feeling full for longer.

Snack

As a snack during the afternoon, she typically has some sliced fruit, which includes watermelon, apples, pineapples or oranges. This provides her body with important vitamins and minerals, improving her overall health.

Lunch

Her lunch is typically a bowl of green salad, which usually includes spinach, cucumber, bell pepper, olive oil and some cherry tomatoes. She does also add some eggs in there sometimes, to make it more filling, depending on how hungry she is. This is a great low calorie meal, being rich in antioxidants and high in fiber.

Snack

As a snack in the evening, she likes to make a cheese board, which consists of manchego, cheddar and goat cheese, with some quince, apple, raspberries, and olives. Florence loves cheese, and if she doesn’t have it as part of her snack, she has it with dinner. It provides her with a good source of nutrients, along with some healthy fats.

Dinner

For dinner, she usually has a roast chicken with sweet potatoes and some vegetables. This is a high carb high protein meal, providing her with important macronutrients. It also allows her body to recover from training, while enhancing her health.

Workout Plan

Florence has a pretty relaxed workout plan, similar to her diet plan. In an Interview with Vogue, she says she doesn’t worry about changing her body for a role and embraces it. She believes in body positivity and says she’s “not losing weight to look fantastic for a role”, instead she wants to feel how her “character would have lived”.

She usually works out most days of the week, for a couple of hours per day. Sometimes her training sessions aren’t as intense, so she tries to consume less calories to keep a good balance.

During an Interview with CrossFit, Florence talks about her preparations for the movie Fighting With My Life, where she plays a wrestler. Due to the requirements of the role, she had to get in shape, and actually “look like a wrestler”. She talks about how “solid and secure” the training made her, which kept her motivated.

She generally does a lot of cardio with some yoga or pilates. Depending on her acting role, she does take some specific training to meet the physical demand. She loves to go out for morning jogs and enjoys hiking sometimes.

Cardio

As part of her cardio, Florence does some outdoor jogging followed by some circuit training with HIIT exercises. For some of her acting roles, this will include a specialised high intensity workout.

For her role in Fighting With My Life, she did some wrestling practice as part of her training to make her look more authentic in the ring. During her training for Black Widow, she did some kickboxing along with some strength training.
